Prepare for Your Notary Appointment

We travel, sometimes pretty far, in order to complete our duties as notaries public, so if clients cancel the appointment too late, they do not show or we are required to reschedule, or if a signer refuses to sign a document (details on Services and Fee Schedule) we still charge 80% of the total fees agreed upon when scheduling the appointment.

It is important to gather everything you need in order to complete all the notarizations you need and to ensure that all required signers are present at the scheduled appointment. Here are a couple tips to serve as a little reminder of what to prepare before an appointment:

• All required signers and witnesses must be present, and all signers and witnesses must have acceptable identification or proof of identity.
• Any documents requiring notarization. Documents must be completed or we won’t be able to complete the needed notarizations.
• A translator if needed.
• Reading glasses if needed.
